Rockies rookie outfielder Dexter Fowler had his first huge game yesterday, exposing San Diego’s Chris Young for five stolen bases. Young was terrible, allowing eight earned in just three innings. He also walked five. Fowler himself was 2/4 with two walks.

If he can continue to get on base (his current OBP is .393), he becomes a fantasy weapon. While he won’t get to face Young on the bases every game, he is a 40-50 steal outfielder with .280-300 batting average potential. He could be a better version of Jacoby Ellsbury. He’s definitely worth a pickup in NL only leagues and in deep mixed leagues. Young is cut worthy, aside from two starts where he carved up San Francisco he has been hit very hard.
