Two young aces take the hill tonight in the Red Sox first matchup of the season between the rivals. The season series starts in Fenway.

The Starters
Yankees SP Joba Chamberlain is coming off a start where he wasn’t able to get out of the fifth inning and Red Sox Jon Lester threw 7 shutout innings in his last start against the Orioles. Lester boasts a 19-6 K/BB ratio while Chamberlain has a 9-6 ratio.

Players to Watch
David Ortiz is on a bit of a hot streak, with five hits in his last three games. Melky Cabrera hit two home runs in an extra inning victory vs. Oakland.

The Red Sox come in on a 7 game winning streak. New York is on a 3 game winning streak. As they say, something’s gotta give. I expect that to be the Yankee’s bullpen.
